To celebrate the first anniversary of the first Onomy-Group we held a special service. We were joined by some of the Onomy children and their parents. The children who have already dedicated themselves to becoming members were presented with their new Onomy hoody and membership certificate. John spoke about Onomy’s main verse from 1Samuel 2 verse 30; “I will honour those who honour me!” and linked it with Eric Liddell’s testimony. The best runner of his time, he was ridiculed for refusing to run his 100m Olympic race, in which he was bound to win, because it was on a Sunday. He did run in the 400m race where he not only won the gold medal but broke the world record. The Lord honoured him because he honoured the Lord. What an example Eric is to us...
